| Eduardo Geli joined Uría Menéndez in 1988 and
became a partner in 1997. He was the partner who headed up the
New York office between 2000 and 2002 and he is currently in
charge of the M&A and Corporate Practice Group in the Barcelona
office.
His practice is focused on M&A, banking and securities, and
corporate law, and has included:
- advising on mergers and acquisitions (of both private and
listed corporations), joint ventures, corporate restructuring
and divestitures in a variety of industrial and service
sectors in Spain;
- regulatory aspects of acquisitions in regulated sectors
such as banking, insurance and temporary staffing;
- advising contractors and financial institutions on
significant bids for public works projects;
- advising banks on structured finance transactions, project
finance and issuers of debt and hybrid instruments; and
- advising on establishment in commercial centres and
similar real estate transactions.
The 2004 edition of IFLR 1000 regards Eduardo as “a key
contact partner” for Mergers and Acquisitions. |
