Fernando Calbacho joined Uría Menéndez in 1999.
Before joining the firm, Fernando worked as in house counsel of various
corporations. In particular, was the head of the legal department of
Fertiberia and legal manager of Repsol and thereafter General Counsel of
a leading Spanish construction company (Agromán).
From September 2002 until July 2005, he was the
partner in charge of the New York office of the firm.
Fernando focuses his practice on commercial law, and
in particular on commercial transactions of real estate companies, such
as corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, public offerings, and
construction law. |
Legal Teaching
Fernando lectured Commercial Law at the Universidad de
Alcalá de Henares, in Madrid, between 1992 and 2001, and participates
regularly as a lecturer in postgraduate programs in Instituto de Empresa,
ICADE and the Madrid Bar Association.
