Javier Redonet is a lawyer based in the Madrid office
of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in 1997 and works in the Securities
and M&A Law Practice Group of the firm’s Commercial Law Department.
Javier focuses his practice on company, finance and securities law. He
advises on IPOs, issues and offers of shares, block trades, private
placements, issues of preference shares, tender offers and
securitisations. He also advises clients regularly on general corporate
and commercial law matters and on regulatory issues concerning
securities law, as well as listed companies on corporate governance
issues. Likewise, Javier has participated in mergers and acquisitions of
both listed and non-listed companies and in the design and
implementation of stock option programmes for employees.
Javier has been listed by Global Counsel 3000 as a recommended lawer in
Spain for Company and Corporate Transactions, Corporate Finance, M&A and
Joint Ventures. |
Legal Teaching
Javier has been a professor of the Financial Markets Law
Master’s programme of the “Instituto de Postgrado y Formación Continua” at
the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas since 2000. He also participates as a
speaker in the Securities Market Module of the Business Law Masters
programme organised by Universidad Francisco de Vitoria, Fundación Carolina
and the Madrid Bar Association since 2002. He has been a professor of the
Banking and Securities Law Course since 2004 which is organised annually by
the Madrid Bar Association.
