Jesús Remón is a partner in the Madrid office of Uría
Menéndez. He joined the firm as a partner in 1996, after acting as
Attorney General before the Spanish Constitutional Court.
His professional activities vary between procedural practice, both in
the civil and administrative jurisdictions, and legal advice on
administrative and constitutional issues. He has been actively involved
in proceedings before the Constitutional Court and the European Court of
Human Rights.
Jesús has appeared in some of the major cases before
the Spanish courts, including by way of example:

Proceedings to challenge company resolutions
adopted by listed and unlisted companies.

Claims for payment and disputes arising from
breaches of contract.

Claims related to the award of public procurement
contracts and administrative concessions.

National and international arbitration proceedings
(CCI and others).

Legal opinions on constitutional and administrative
matters.
Jesús also has ample experience in arbitration
proceedings, both as a lawyer and as an arbitrator designated for
dispute resolution, in a variety of commercial arbitration and
investment-related proceedings.
Jesús has been recognized for his work in Arbitration, Dispute
Resolution, and Communications by major publications (Chambers Global,
Global Counsel 3000, the European Legal 500, etc.). |
Legal Teaching
Jesús lectures on Constitutional Law at the Universidad
Carlos III and at the “ Instituto de Empresa”, both in Madrid. He is
frequently invited as a speaker or commentator on matters pertaining to his
field of expertise at law seminars and conferences.
