Javier Valle is actually a partner in the Barcelona office of Uría
Menéndez. Since september 2003 to august 2007 he headed up the Sao Paulo
office. Previous to joining the Brazil office he was the partner
responsible for the Area of New Technologies in the Barcelona office of
the firm. He joined the firm in 1990 and became a partner in 2002.
Javier focuses his practice on energy, project finance and
telecommunications law.
Javier has been considered a "leading individual" in project finance
by Chambers Global 2007.
He advised the developers in three project finance transactions
awarded with the prizes European Renewable Energy Deal of the Year 2002,
Latin American Renewable Energy Deal of the Year 2005 and Latin American
Renewable Energy Deal of the Year 2006. |
Legal Teaching
From 1991 to 2003, he lectured on commercial law at the
Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He also lectured on project finance,
telecommunications and electronic commerce issues for the Masters Programme
in Company Law organised by the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and at other
universities. He is a regular speaker and commentator at law seminars and
conferences pertaining to his field of expertise.
