Oscar Morales joined Uría Menéndez in 2003 and currently heads up the
Criminal Law Department of the Barcelona office. Oscar has a vast amount
of lecturing experience which he still continues with (see below). He is
also experienced in the fields of teaching and scientific research.
Oscar served as a judge of the Provincial Court of Appeal of Barcelona (Audiencia
Provincial de Barcelona) for four years prior to joining the firm.
Oscar specialises in criminal law and criminal procedure law,
particularly white-collar crime, including:
- Advising board directors on decision-making liabilities.
- Advising companies on criminal liability for work accidents.
- Advising on criminal offences against the Public Treasury (tax
fraud).
- Advising on environmental issues.
- Intellectual and industrial property right infringements.
- E-crime - data protection, sabotage, etc.

- Lecturer on Criminal Law at the Universidad de Cantabria,

- Visiting Scholar at the Institut für Kriminologie und
Wirtschaftsstrafrecht, of the Albert-Ludwig Universität, in
Freiburg im Breisgau (RFA) between 1994-95.

- Lecturer on Criminal Law at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya
