Salvador Sánchez-Terán is a partner in the Madrid
office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in 1988 and became a partner
in 1996.
Salvador focuses his practice on corporate, financial,
securities and banking Law.
He was voted “Best Business Lawyer in Spain” by
Chambers Global 2001-2002 and was named Leading Individual in Corporate
and M&A by Chambers Global 2003 and 2004-2005. Salvador is named Leading
Individual in Banking and Finance by Chambers Global 2003 and 2004-2005.
He is considered to be a legal expert by European Legal Experts 2003,
2004 and 2005 in the areas of Banking & Finance and Corporate and
Commercial. The 2004 and 2005 editions of IFLR 1000 name him Leading
Lawyer for Banking and M&A. Salvador’s name is also mentioned under M&A

Salvador is regularly asked to advise on the

Legal Teaching
Between 1988 and 2000, Salvador lectured on Commercial
Law at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (“ICADE”) in Madrid. He is a
regular speaker and commentator at law seminars and conferences pertaining
to his field of expertise. Since 2000, Salvador has been lecturing in the
Masters Programme of the Madrid Bar Association.
