Tomás Fernández-Quirós Tuñón is a partner in the
Barcelona office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in January 2000 at
the time when the firm “Figaredo & Asociados”, specialising in maritime
law and of which he was a member, merged with Uría Menéndez.
Tomás specialises in maritime and transport law, and in international
litigation and arbitration. He is regarded as a Recommended
Individual for Maritime and Shipping in the 2005 edition of Global
Counsel 3000 and as a Legal Expert in Maritime and Transport Law in the
2004 and 2005 editions of European Legal Experts. He is also Recommended
for Shipping in the 2003 and 2004 editions of the European Legal 500. |
Legal Teaching
Tomás is a frequent speaker on maritime and transport law at seminars
and conferences both in Spain and abroad.
He lectures on maritime law in various Masters’
programmes organised by the Spanish Maritime Institute and IPEC (Valencia)
in conjunction with the University of ICADE (Madrid), the European Institute
of Maritime Law (Gijón) and the “Facultad Náutica” (Barcelona).
