Carlos Bueren is a partner in the Madrid office of
Uría Menéndez. He joined the Criminal Law Department of the firm as a
partner in 1996. Before joining Uría Menéndez, Carlos had served as a
Judicial Officer in various courts in Spain. He also served as a Judge
of the Central Magistrates Court of the High Court between 1986 and
1996. Carlos specialises in the field of criminal law,
white collar crime and criminal offences such as fraud, forgery,
concealment of assets, tax fraud and misappropriation.
He was named Leading Individual in Litigation by Chambers Global
2001-2002, 2003 and 2004-2005. |

Lecturer on Civil Litigation and Criminal Law at the
Universidad Pontificia de Comillas - ICADE, Madrid, between 1985 and 1991.

conferences on matters pertaining to his field of expertise.
