Juan Cadarso is a partner in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. He
joined the firm in 1978 and became a partner in 1984. Juan focuses
his practice on civil litigation and advises on issues pertaining to
private law generally, and real estate, contract and tort law in
particular.
He has been involved in important arbitration, court and dispute
resolution proceedings, including disputes:
- arising from construction contracts and in connection with
liability for construction defects;
- concerning challenges to corporate agreements and the breach of
contracts between shareholders;
- concerning general contractual terms and unfair clauses in banking
contracts;
- concerning the breach of company sale-purchase contracts and
guarantees of hidden liabilities; and
- concerning the termination of distribution agreements.
Juan has issued numerous legal opinions on matters pertaining to his
areas of expertise. He is a member of the Arbitration Court of Madrid.
He is Recommended for Dispute Resolution in the 2003-2004 and 2005
editions of Global Counsel 3000 as well as in the Global Counsel
Handbook for Dispute Resolution 2003-2004 and 2004-2005. |
Legal Teaching
He has taught at the Universidad del País Vasco, Autónoma
de Madrid and of Alcalá, where is he is currently a Professor of Civil Law.
