Teresa Paz-Ares is the head of the Communication, Health and Intellectual Property Department in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. She joined the firm in 1992, was based in the firm’s London office in 1994 and 1995, and became a partner in 2002.

Since 1995, Teresa has focused her practice on the media sector, assisting clients in developing their activities in related fields and advising them on a wide range of areas covering regulatory and commercial work. She has also developed a strong M&A practice.

Over the last few years, Teresa has been increasingly involved in the practice of pharmaceutical law and is one of the partners responsible for the pharmaceutical practice of the firm.

Teresa is regarded as a Leading Individual in Communications Law by Chambers Global 2004-2005.
