Javier Villanueva

Javier Villanueva joined Uría Menéndez in 2013 and is an senior associate since 2021. During 2019 and 2020, he was seconded to the New York office.

His professional practice is focused on advising financing entities, companies and investment funds, domestic and foreign, on corporate transactions with an underlying real estate component (mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and financing).

Javier has been involved in acquisition, development and lease of all types of real estate assets and loan portfolios; mergers and acquisitions of companies operating in the real estate sector; incorporation of joint ventures for the development of real estate projects and Spanish real estate investment trusts (e.g., SOCIMIs); real estate financings; and dissolution and liquidation of companies with underlying real estate components.
