Álvaro López joined Uría Menéndez in 2012 and currently forms part of the firm’s Capital Markets Practice Area. Since June 2018 until September 2019 he was seconded to the London office.
He specializes in capital markets, company law and mergers and acquisitions.
In particular, he regularly advises on equity capital markets transactions, both on the Spanish regulated market (Mercado Continuo) and the alternative market (Mercado Alternativo Bursátil or MAB), and on M&A transactions.
In addition, he has extensive experience advising clients —both issuers and investors— on corporate governance, matters relating to general shareholders’ meetings and the role of the secretary to the board of director, as well as on regulatory aspects relating to securities markets.
