Law 1/2019 of 20 February on Trade Secrets, which will come into force on 13 March 2019, was published today.

Law 1/2019 of 20 February on Trade Secrets, which will come into force on 13 March 2019, was published today. The TSL transposes, into Spanish law, Directive (EU) 2016/943 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016, on the protection of undisclosed know-how and business information (trade secrets) against their unlawful acquisition, use and disclosure and replaces the trade secrets regulations under the Unfair Competition Law.
