Roberto Fernández Castilla, a state lawyer with experience in energy matters, joins Uría Menéndez’s Public Law, Litigation and Arbitration practice as counsel.

Fernández Castilla holds a law degree from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and has been a state lawyer since 2014. He has developed his professional career at the Ministry of Justice (in the field of international arbitration in the State Attorney General’s Office in relation to arbitrations brought against the Kingdom of Spain in the field of renewable energies) and at the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (acting as Chief State Lawyer for the Secretary of State for Energy).

José Miguel Fatás, the partner in charge of Uría Menéndez’s Public Law, Litigation and Arbitration practice expressed the firm’s satisfaction at being able to count on Roberto’s knowledge and experience, of whom he said that “he joins our team to strengthen our capabilities in energy matters and continue offering the best advice in this field, which is essential for many of our clients.”
