Uría Menéndez recognised as M&A Legal Advisor for Iberia

The firm has ended the year with a new award from Mergermarket that recognises Uría Menéndez as the leading law firm in Iberia for mergers and acquisitions. It highlights the firm’s excellent work in this area, despite the economic and geopolitical instability of the last year, and follows this important M&A market intelligence provider’s decision to award Uría Menéndez-Proença de Carvalho the same honour for Portugal in 2021.

The Mergermarket Europe M&A Awards 2023 recognised the leading financial advisors and law firms in 18 jurisdictions, based on the value and number of transactions they have been involved in this year.

The winners were chosen by a judging panel of Mergermarket editors and M&A experts, who considered the strategic nature of the deals, their complexity and novelty, and the financial requirements.

Juan Carlos Machuca and Diana Nicorescu collected the award on behalf of the firm at the award ceremony in London.
