Successful night for Uría Menéndez at the IFLR Europe Awards 2024

Uría Menéndez received three awards, including European Firm of the Year

Uría Menéndez enjoyed a great evening at the IFLR Europe Awards 2024 last week. The firm won three awards, including EU Law Firm of the Year, one of the most important of the night. Uría Menéndez was also named Firm of the Year: Spain for the fourth consecutive year and the team led by Sebastián Sáenz de Santa María was one of the advisors in the Eroski matter that was given the award for High Yield Deal of the Year.

The firm was also a finalist in the categories of Firm of the Year: Portugal; Technological Innovation (for MomentUM); Equity Deal of the Year (as advisors on the capital increase of EDP and EDPR), and for another High Yield Deal of the Year (for the Banijay matter).

This recognition, both as winners and finalists, is the result of Uría Menéndez’s leadership in the Spanish and European legal sectors, and highlights the excellent work done by everyone at the firm to achieve the best results for clients in their most complex matters.

In reaching its decisions, the British publication International Financial Law Review (IFLR) carries out exhaustive research over several months to reward the most innovative law firms in Europe in their international matters.

The award ceremony took place in London and was attended by a large cross-section of the European legal profession. Uría Menéndez was represented by Bernardo Ayala, Ignacio Nägele and Ana Hidalgo.
