UM advises ECS on the sale of the Conrad Algarve Hotel

Uría Menéndez advised ECS, the asset management company owned by Davidson Kempner Capital Management, on the sale of the Conrad Algarve hotel to Quinta do Lago – Empreendimentos Imobiliários e Turísticos, S.A.

The Conrad Algarve is a five-star hotel, consisting of 154 suites, 80 apartments, two villas, a luxury spa, and six restaurants and bars, including a Michelin-starred restaurant.

The Uría Menéndez team that advised ECS was led by Francisco da Cunha Ferreira (partner, Real Estate) and David Sequeira Dinis (partner, Litigation), with the support of lawyers Luís Bértolo Rosa (counsel, Litigation), André Hüsgen (senior associate, Real Estate), and Teresa Perdigão (associate, Litigation).

The sale of the Conrad Algarve hotel is the largest single-asset transaction ever recorded in the Portuguese hotel sector.
