Uría Menéndez lawyers contribute to Financing Handbook

February 6, 2025

The Financing Handbook is a key reference for guidance on banking and finance law. Uría Menéndez partners Sebastián Quetglas and Carlos de Cárdenas Smith headed the publication, which was coordinated by María Noguera López. Published by Aranzadi La Ley, the handbook brings together the expertise of a distinguished group of legal practitioners from highly respected firms, including many of our colleagues at Uría Menéndez. It is a practical yet rigorous, up-to-date, systematic and comprehensive guide on corporate financing transactions.

The handbook provides an in-depth analysis of the regulatory framework of financing agreements, including the preparatory phase and the content of the agreements (interest rates, drawdown conditions, representations and warranties, borrower obligations, events of default). It also covers syndicated loans, bond issuances, high-yield bonds, intercreditor agreements, interest rate derivatives, project finance, as well as acquisition finance, real estate finance, ship and aircraft finance, participative loans, direct lending, sustainable finance, green finance, personal guarantees, security interests, the tax aspects of financing transactions, jurisdiction and governing law clauses, the enforcement of claims and guarantees, insolvency-related financing, interim financing and new money financing.

Authors of the handbook include our colleagues Carolina Albuerne, Luis Jiménez, Santiago Sainz, José Félix Zaldívar, María Pan de Soraluce, Cristina Moreno, Belén Molins, Sebastián Sáenz de Santa María, Laura Barroso, Ignacio Zapata, Fernando Azofra, Raquel Yannone, Carlos López-Quiroga, Javier Tortuero, Ignacio Álvarez Couso, Lucas Delclaux, David López Velázquez, Blanca Arlabán, Rafael García Llaneza, Jorge Ruiz de Angulo Imedio, Francisco José Garcimartín, Agustín Capilla, Javier Yáñez, and Eloi Colldeforns.
