Uría Menéndez advises Quantum Pacific on the acquisition of the Spanish SailGP team

Uría Menéndez has advised Quantum Pacific on the acquisition of Los Gallos Spain SailGP Team, further strengthening its commitment to sport in the Iberian Peninsula and adding professional sailing to its investment portfolio.

The transaction, which covered structuring, due diligence and contract negotiation, was carried out through Orza Racing, S.L., which will assume management of the team, the Season 4 SailGP champions.

The Uría Menéndez team was led by Pablo González-Espejo García (partner, Digital Law & Intangibles, Corporate/M&A), with support from José Manuel García-Quílez Cuervas (senior associate, Digital Law & Intangibles, Corporate/M&A) and Rocío Ruiz-Gallardón Utrera (associate, Digital Law & Intangibles, Corporate/M&A). In addition, Guillermo Canalejo Lasarte and Isabel Embarba advised on tax matters during the due diligence and structuring phase, while Daniel Cerrutti and Wilson Alonso Bello handled employment matters.
