Uría Menéndez Wins Top Honours at the IFLR Europe Awards 2026

Uría Menéndez named Law Firm of the Year in Spain and Manuel Echenique named Lawyer of the Year in Spain

Uría Menéndez has been named Law Firm of the Year in Spain for the sixth consecutive year at the latest edition of the IFLR Europe Awards, organised by the prestigious British publication International Financial Law Review (IFLR). In addition, Manuel Echenique has been named Lawyer of the Year in Spain.

The Firm was shortlisted in the categories of EU Law Firm of the Year, Capital Markets – Regional Team of the Year, M&A – Regional Team of the Year, High Yield Deal of the Year for the Apollo – Neinor Senior Secured Bond transaction, and M&A Deal of the Year for the Santander Bank Poland transaction. In addition, David Sequeira Dinis was shortlisted for Lawyer of the Year in Portugal.

The recognition received in this year’s awards reflects the strength and depth of the work carried out by the firm’s teams on complex, high-impact transactions, as well as Uría Menéndez’s ability to provide integrated legal advice across multiple jurisdictions and practice areas.

The IFLR Europe Awards recognise the transactions, teams and professionals that have made the most significant contribution to the development of financial and corporate law in Europe, with particular emphasis on legal innovation and the complexity of the transactions under review.
