Uría Menéndez receives award for its international strategy in Latin America

Uría Menéndez has received an international award from “PLC Which Lawyer 2007” as the firm with the best network in Latin America.

April 12, 2007

With this award, the British periodical “Practical Law” acclaims Uría Menéndez’s international strategy and its commitment to Latin America.

The award is based on a study carried out for “PLC Which Lawyer?” and the votes by in-house counsel of various international firms.

Ten years ago, Uría Menéndez recognised the importance of providing clients in Latin America with high quality legal advice. Uría Menéndez provides advice through the firm’s offices in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, Peru and Brazil.

In addition to establishing its own offices, Uría Menéndez has entered into collaboration or association agreements with prestigious local law firms. Our associated firms include Marval in Argentina, and O'Farrell & Mairal and Philippi, Yrarrázaval, Pulido & Brunner in Chile. In Mexico and Perú we work closely with Galicia y Robles, S.C. and Estudio Payet, Rey, Cauvi.

Our office in São Paulo, Brazil, which opened in 1998, is the core of our Latin American network, dealing with all kinds of issues arising in this region and  providing advice on Spanish and EU law. Through our association with the Brazilian law firm Dias Carneiro Advogados, we can provide comprehensive legal advice in Brazil.
