French publication “Decideurs” name Uría Menéndez Best Law Firm in Spain 2008
Last night, the prestigious French legal publication Decideurs announced the International Legal Alliance Summit & Awards.
June 13, 2008Uría Menéndez has received, along with law firm Cuatrecasas, the prize for Best Law Firm in Spain 2008 awarded by the magazine Decideurs. This prestigious French publication has recognized the firm for the second consecutive year.
The awards ceremony took place yesterday in Paris and was attended by representatives from a great number of law firms throughout the world. José María Segovia, managing partner of the firm, accepted the award, saying “we are very proud to receive this award that recognizes our leadership among independent firms. It is clearly a result of our hard work over the past year. This recognition presents another reason to work ever harder in maintaining the confidence of our clients, who are the main players in these transactions.”
The jury of the awards was made up of more than 100 senior legal executives, including in-house counsels and senior financial executives of world-renowned companies such as Disney, Philips, L´Oréal and Nestlé. The firm has received the award for best Spanish law firm in the category of International Legal Awards, that recognize the best law firms in several jurisdictions.
