Uría Menéndez, European Law Firm of the Year

The British Legal Awards 2009 were awarded last night by the prestigious British publication Legal Week.

Uría Menéndez received the European Law Firm of the Year award in the 2009 edition of the British Legal Awards. The firm receives this award for a second consecutive year, having received the award for London office of the year in the 2008 edition.

The award ceremony was held in London yesterday and brought together a broad representation of law firms from around the world. Luis de Carlos, managing partner of Uría Menéndez, collected the award and said 'we are very satisfied with this recognition of our firm’s independent, high quality model and of the work carried out this year, thanks to the confidence of our clients, to help them overcome the current difficult times”.

The British Legal Awards acknowledge the firms, teams and individuals whose work over the last 12 to 18 months has been considered outstanding  by a panel of judges made up of representatives of British companies and other multinationals.
