Uría Menéndez, leading firm in Spain according to Chambers Global 2010
Uría Menéndez is ranked first in all practice areas analysed in the 2010 edition of Chambers Global.
March 12, 2010As to the novelties in this edition, the directory introduced the area of Restructuring/Insolvency. The analysis of Capital Markets also changed. In previous years, Chambers carried out an independent study of the areas of Debt, Equity and Securitizations. However, this time, there was one ranking for the firms in this area.
This analysis did not take into account US/UK banking and finance (advice on US/UK law).

PORTUGAL
Chambers acknowledges Uría Menéndez’s presence in Portugal
In Portugal, Uría Menéndez maintains last year's results, being ranked with one first place and three second.

LATIN AMERICA
Uría Menéndez came fifth in M&A and the work of both Eduardo Rodríguez-Rovira (4th place) and Javier Valle (4th place) was recognised. In International Arbitration, the firm came fifth in Latin America. Furthermore, the firm was included in the area of Banking and Finance for the first time, coming fifth.
BRUSSELS
As in the previous edition, the directory praised Edurne Navarro’s work in Belgium (4th place) and the firm for its Competition/EU law (4th place) practice.
EUROPE-WIDE
In the general European ranking, Uría Menéndez was ranked fourth in Mergers and Acquisitions, moving up one position since last year.
