Legal Week names Uría Menéndez “European Legal Team of the Year”
Uría Menéndez received the award last night in Legal Week’s ceremony for the British Legal Awards 2014.
November 28, 2014Uría Menéndez has been named European Legal Team of the Year in the 2014 edition of the British Legal Awards. The prestigious UK publication, Legal Week, recognised Uría Menéndez’s team as legal coordinators for Repsol in relation to the Argentinean Government’s expropriation of YPF.
The award ceremony took place in London yesterday, bringing together a broad representation of law firms worldwide. Carlos Paredes and Miguel Virgós, partners of Uría Menéndez, collected the award, stating that it was: “an honor to receive this award as recognition for the work and dedication of a large team of professionals in a matter of great complexity, among these, the Repsol professionals, who we deeply appreciate for their level of trust.”
Above all, the judges recognised the legal services provided and the firms’ market-leading positions in the practice areas involved: essentially, corporate, international arbitration and litigation. In particular, they considered legal expertise and innovation, project management skills, teamwork and client satisfaction.
