Launch of a public tender for the construction of the Évora-Elvas railway line

March 12, 2018On 5 March 2018, in a press conference attended by the Spanish Prime Minister, the Portuguese Prime Minister announced that the Government will launch three public tenders for the construction of the Évora-Elvas railway line.
According to media sources, the railway line will be circa 100 kilometres long and it is expected to cost around EUR 509 million.
The construction of the line is expected to begin in March 2019 and to be completed by the first quarter of 2022.
