On 4 March the Council of the European Union activated a temporary protection mechanism following the Russian Federation’s invasion of Ukraine.

Lawyers from Uría Menéndez working with the Professor Uría Foundation have published a guide to the measures that have been put in place in the EU and Spain to protect those who have fled Ukraine or who cannot return for fear of violence and persecution. It will be updated as and when new measures are approved.
