Uría Menéndez Receives the Esfera Foundation’s Award for Institutional Collaboration and Inclusion

Uría Menéndez has been honoured by the Esfera Foundation with its Award for Institutional Collaboration and Inclusion, presented as part of the 1st Corporate Inclusion Awards.

These awards recognise organisations that help young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities gain access to specialised training, work placements and employment opportunities.

The Esfera Foundation highlighted the firm’s support for its educational programmes and, in particular, its collaboration in the Legal Assistant Programme, an initiative designed to help students make the transition into the workplace.

The award was accepted on behalf of Uría Menéndez by Óscar Parreño, coordinator of disability-related matters at the firm, member of FIDE’s Di-Capacidad Working Group, and the firm’s main contact with the Esfera Foundation.

This recognition also reflects the commitment of the many people across the firm who have lectured on the Legal Assistant Programme, as well as the mentors who have supported the students during their work placements.
