Uría Menéndez leads the Spanish business law market according to Chambers Europe 2013

The firm ranks in the first band in 20 practice areas

Uría Menéndez continues to lead the Spanish legal market according to the 2013 edition of the Chambers Europe guide published by Chambers & Partners. For the seventh consecutive year, the firm has achieved more first band rankings than any other firm, with 20 first bands and six second bands. Of note is the improvement of the Tax practice area to the first band and the Planning practice area to the second band.

As a novelty in the 2013 edition, Chambers & Partners included an exclusive ranking for Barcelona analysing General Business Law under the following categories: Corporate; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Intellectual Property; Life Sciences; and Tax. The firm was placed in the first band for all categories.

In Portugal, Uría Menéndez - Proença de Carvalho placed among the top firms in the country with recommendations in the majority of the practice areas analysed. In the 2013 edition, the firm improves its positions in Energy and Natural Resources and Tax.
