Uría Menéndez and FT IE CLA, a joint venture of IE and Financial Times, have designed a specific executive program for junior associates in their first, second, and third years at the firm’s Iberian offices.

The program, run in both English and Spanish, is entitled the IE-UM Professional Development Program for Lawyers and is aligned with Uría Menéndez’s commitment to providing continuous education for its lawyers. The program will run for three years, over the course of which participants will learn about key areas of economy and business from IE Business School professors, as well as about legal areas, instructed mainly by lawyers from the firm. The sessions will be in face-to-face format and will start in the coming month of March at IE’s Madrid campus, running throughout March, June, September and November.

Carlos de la Pedraja, Vice Dean and General Director of IE Law School, said: “It is always a pleasure to work with Uria Menéndez, especially on a professional development project like this one, in which we combine management education with legal knowledge, both of which are vital in the legal sector.” José Massaguer, partner at Uría Menéndez and head of the Project, underlined the importance of offering top quality continuous education at every stage of a lawyer’s career. “The only way to maintain our position at the forefront of excellent and innovative practices in the field of law is by providing the best education, not only in the field of law, but also in management.”
