Iratxe Celaya is a lawyer in the Bilbao office of Uría Menéndez. She joined the firm in 2006 and became a partner in 2011. She heads the Tax Practice Area in the Bilbao office.
Iratxe specialises in corporate tax taw, advising in mergers, acquisitions, and business combinations, taxation of foreign investment structures in Spain, and Spanish investments in foreign countries.
Iratxe regularly advises in tax proceedings, including tax audits and tax litigation procedures.
She also specialises in tax law of the Basque Country and Navarre.

Iratxe has been a lecturer on corporate restructuring, corporate tax and non-residents tax in the Master’s Degree in tax and in the Master’s Degree in law at the Universidad de Deusto, Bilbao (since 1998).
Since 2007 she has lectured on corporate restructuring in the Master’s Degree in law at the Universidad de Deusto.
She is a regular speaker at tax law seminars and conferences.
