Arnau Xumetra

Arnau Xumetra joined Uría Menéndez in 2025 as a counsel. He previously worked at the prestigious firm Martell Abogados, where he gained extensive experience in criminal defence, both in the pre-litigation phase and in court.

His practice is centred on economic criminal law in all its aspects, in particular the defence in crimes against the Public Treasury, Social Security fraud and, in general, in crimes against property and the socioeconomic order (money laundering, concealment of assets, fraud and misappropriation).

It has also specialised in macro-cases of corruption and in advising and defending companies in cases of workplace accidents and crimes against natural resources under investigation by both the specialised Public Prosecutor's Office and the specialised Investigating Body (preliminary phase of the investigation) and before the Courts.
