Profile

Felipe Iglesias is a consultant based in Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office. He has been collaborating with the Real Estate, Planning and Environmental Law Practice Areas since June 2002. Alongside his work at the firm, he is a professor of administrative law at the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid and has been involved in numerous legislative projects in Spain. Felipe is also a member of the editorial board of the Revista de Derecho Urbanístico y Medio Ambiente (Planning and Environmental Law Journal), having previously served as secretary to the board and deputy editor, and is a member of the Spanish Academy for Experts in Urban Planning (Academia Española de Urbanistas).

His practice focuses on planning law, public property law and real estate law. He has advised on a wide variety of matters, including:

  • Land readjustment projects.
  • Land management through Compensation Boards.
  • Planning permit applications.
  • Complex urban development projects.
  • General administrative law matters.

Felipe balances his professional activity as a legal advisor in Uría Menéndez with his regular teaching activities. He is PhD in Law and has been an associate professor in the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid since 2002.

He is also a regular lecturer on subjects related to planning law in specialised courses and master's degree programmes.
