Rafael Castillo Echevarría joined Uría Menéndez in 2015 and he is managing associate of the firm in the Madrid office. From January 2023 to October 2023 he was on secondment in the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho.
Rafael focuses its practice on advising real estate investment funds (domestic and foreign) on corporate and real estate M&A transactions as well as financing entities on financing transactions with an underlying real estate component (especially project finance and real estate acquisition finance).
He has advised clients on the acquisition, development and operation of all types of real estate assets, the incorporation of joint ventures for the development of real estate projects, the incorporation of Spanish real estate investment trusts, on real estate financing transaction and on the sale of REO portfolios.
