In 2015, we played a key role in the creation of Latin America’s first regional law firm: PPU (Philippi, Prietocarrizosa, Ferrero DU & Uría). PPU brought together the Chilean firm Philippi Yrarrázabal Pulido Bruner and leading law firms in Colombia and Peru.

The creation of PPU consolidated our presence in Chile. Today, Uría Menéndez lawyers regularly spend time in Santiago working with PPU’s team of 120 lawyers, including 20 partners.

This structure, combined with our experience in the region, give us a unique perspective and a deep understanding of our client’s needs in the region. We assist foreign investors with their transactions in Chile and advise Latin American multinationals with interests in the region and Europe.
