Mariano Magide is a partner in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in September 2000 and is a member of the Public Law and Litigation Practice Area.
Mariano focuses his practice on all aspects of constitutional and administrative law (public contracts, public infrastructures, infringement proceedings, telecommunications, health, etc.) as well as administrative litigation.
In matters of constitutional law, he has taken part in the drafting of legal opinions on the distribution of powers between Regional and Central Government, the sources of law in constitutional law sources and constitutional rights. As regards his administrative law practice, he has advised private entities and public authorities on legal administrative issues related to the contracting activities of public authorities, authorisations and permits, public property, sanctioning proceedings, aids, energy, telecommunications, public infrastructure, liability of public authorities, etc. He regularily appears before Spain's contentious-administrative courts.

Teaching activity
He has been a lecturer at the Universities of Valladolid, Rey Juan Carlos and Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE). He currently teaches administrative law at the Law School of the Rey Juan Carlos University of Madrid.
