Fernando Pérez de la Sota is a partner in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. He joined the firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1995. He has headed up Uría Menéndez's New York (1996-1997) and London (2002) offices. In 1996, he became a member of the Roll of Legal Consultants of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.
Fernando has focused his practice on commercial law, telecommunications law (advising domestic and international clients on the deployment of their signal transport and mobile telephony networks in Spain and abroad), real estate and hospitality and lodging law. He has worked on some of the most significant transactions carried out by international real estate and hospitality companies in Spain and Spanish companies abroad, both in qualitative and quantitative terms (projects dealing with trophy assets and portfolios of real estate assets and hotels).
He is regarded as a leading lawyer by the main international legal directories, such as, Chambers & Partners, European Legal Experts, among others.
