Jorge Brito Pereira joined Uría Menéndez-Proença de Carvalho as a partner in 2016. Previously, he was with the Portuguese law firm PLMJ – AM Pereira, Sáragga Leal, Oliveira Martins, Júdice e Associados, Sociedade de Advogados, where he had been a partner since 1998.
Jorge focuses his practice on corporate, M&A, financing and capital markets work. He has broad experience in advising on prominent transactions in Portugal, in particular privatisations, takeover bids, public offerings, M&A and financing.
Jorge has been recognised by renowned international directories as a leading lawyer in Capital Markets, Banking & Finance, Private Equity and M&A/Corporate Law.
Jorge Brito Pereira is chairman of the board of directors of NOS, SGPS, S.A., chairman of the general meeting of Banco BIC Português, S.A., Efacec - Power Solutions, S.A. and a number of other companies.
