Rita Xavier de Brito joined the Lisbon office of Uría Menéndez – Proença de Carvalho as a trainee lawyer in 2007 and became partner in 2019.
Rita focuses her practice on real estate law, advising on the sale, purchase and development of real estate assets, in particular shopping centres, office buildings, hotels and urban redevelopment projects. She also advises on acquisition finance, refinancing and restructuring of firms in the real estate and hotel industries, including the acquisition of mortgage-backed loan portfolios, and has experience in renewable energy projects.
