Marta Rios is a partner based in the Madrid office of Uría Menéndez. She joined the firm in 2001 and works in the Capital Markets Law Practice Area.
Marta’s practice focuses on company and securities law, as well as corporate governance. Her experience in securities law includes advising on IPOs, issuances and offers of shares, and mergers and acquisitions. She regularly advises listed companies on corporate governance, issues related to general shareholders’ meetings and the role of the secretary to the board of directors, and assists clients with general corporate and commercial law matters related to securities markets.

Teaching activity
She lectures on the “Practical Guide for a Legal Advisor to Listed Companies” advanced programme (organised by IE Law School Executive Education) and teaches on the International Master’s Degree in Business Law at Wolters Kluwers.
Marta lectured on the Master’s Degree in Company Law at the Universidad de Navarra Law School and on a share capital increase and decrease techniques programme organised by the Fundación Francis Lefebvre. She also collaborated with Luis de Carlos on the financial system law course at the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE).
Marta regularly participates and lectures in seminars and conferences related to her areas of expertise.
