Ángel Pérez Pardo de Vera has been a lawyer in Uría Menéndez’s Madrid office since 2000. His main area of practice is dispute resolution (mediation, litigation and international arbitration).
Ángel advises on civil, commercial and private international disputes. His experience spans a wide array of complex, high-profile proceedings that often involve multiple jurisdictions in the banking, engineering, infrastructure and energy sectors.
In 2007 and 2008, he was seconded to the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore. In 2011, the legal publication Iberian Lawyer recognised him in their “40 Under Forty” award, which selects forty prominent lawyers under the age of forty in the Iberian market based on their involvement in complex and significant cases, leadership and team-management skills, as well as civic contributions. Every year since 2013, the leading international directories have consistently recognised Ángel as a leading lawyer in his areas of expertise.
He is a founding member and vice-president of the Spanish Business Litigation Club. He makes significant contributions with a social impact in his role as secretary to the boards of trustees of the Seve Ballesteros Foundation, the Paco de Lucía Foundation and the Exit Foundation. Between 2013 and 2022 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Professor Uría Foundation (he led an educational programme in prisons that earned the foundation the Silver Medal for Penitentiary Merit awarded by the Ministry of the Interior).

Teaching activity
Ángel is a lecturer on the master’s programmes at the Universidad of Navarra.
He is a regular speaker at conferences and seminars on his areas of practice. Some of the topics covered in his most recent lectures include international contracts, commercial distribution formulas, bankruptcy matters and arbitration.
